A very supportive shoe insert that has a high-semi rigid arch support, high heel control, and medium padding.

Powerstep Pinnacle is a full-length shoe insert with a support shell of polypropylene, a Hypurcel top layer (black), and an anti-microbial treated, polyester fabric top.  Both the support shell and the fabric cover are royal blue. It is a strong, medical-grade foot support calibrated for flexibility, shock absorbency, and cushioning. In addition to providing anti-microbial protection, the fabric top is also designed to reduce friction. The Powerstep Pinnacle can be worn in athletic, dress, and casual shoes.

A simple over-the-counter orthotic, developed by a podiatrist, that has been around for years because it works. It is a great value. A device that is easy to move from shoe to shoe if needed. Though it doesn't work for everyone, it does fit most feet. Whether it is a foot with a high arch, or a foot with a low arch, this is a good device. Works great for conditions such as plantar fasciitis, neuromas, and generalized foot pain. Powerstep is the brand I recommend my patients start with when it comes to a low cost over-the-counter orthotic. It will often be the only orthotic device you will ever need. If this device does not fit you, then you will more than likely need to visit a podiatrist for a custom orthotic.

A firm, supportive orthotic with a defined arch and good support. Arch is higher than average, control is average, and support is firm. The Powerstep Pinnacle is part of our silver package, and is a good “all-around” orthotic that may be helpful to users with foot pain.

The length of the device is 11.5 inches (294 mm) long – about average for inserts at this size. The width at the ball of the foot is 3.8 inches (97 mm), or about 1/8 of an inch wider than average. The heel pad thickness is 0.38 inches (9.7 mm) thick, which is much thicker than average.

    For the functional dimensions...

The medial or inside arch height is 1.14 inches (29 mm). It is one of the highest arch supports found in over-the-counter inserts, which gives the user’s arch plenty of support even when under compression by our 2 lb exercise ball. Along with being one of the highest arch supports, the position of the arch is approximately 4.3 inches (110 mm) from the back of the support – a location which is closer to the toe than almost all of the inserts we have evaluated. This should be considered when selecting an insert or orthotic. The heel back height is 0.8 inches. With the heel pad thickness at 0.38 inches, this heel back is relative high, resulting in a higher level of heel control than most orthotics or inserts.

The level of foot support for the Powerstep Pinnacle is considered firm. It is a very supportive heel cradle and arch platform. It does not significantly deflect under this 2 lb weight ball. The thickness of the foam padding is about 1/8 of an inch, and will firmly cushion the foot.

These insoles took the pain away from my feet due to Plantar Fascitis. They fit my shoes without having to modify them. Once these wear out I will definitely purchase them again.
